I had become increasingly aware of the significant impact grief was having on my life, after the death of my parents and the recent loss of several friends to cancer, as well as having been made redundant and becoming increasingly less mobile. In addition, my son and daughter both work with children and had told me about the profound experience of watching children grieve without knowing how to help them deal with their loss. The Grief Recovery programme taught me to take a series of positive actions which have enabled me to recover from my significant emotional losses and has lead me to enjoy life while remembering precious moments.
