“I found the content extremely thought provoking which is a good thing. The personal aspects that needed to be identified and acknowledged were sometimes very difficult but at the same time provided a great release. The 1 : 1 sessions were so important and I came to realise within the first 2 sessions that you had to be prepared to commit your whole self to the course in order to get the most out of it.
For me the entire course has had such a positive effect on my mental health.
It gave me the opportunity and safe space to confront a very traumatic time in my life and the tools to help me move on.

“Since doing the course, my attitude towards my mother has changed considerably. I am still in communication with her, but it is now on my terms. If she says anything detrimental to me, I let it go over my head as I refuse to let it upset me. I have found that as I am more in control of when I speak to her, she is absolutely delighted when I telephone.
To be fair, she rarely says anything nasty these days, I think that because now I am more able to cope and don’t dwell on the past so much, my thinking has become much clearer and more focused on the present.
We sometimes have to stand up for ourselves and not be a door mat for others to trample on. Your course has given me the tools to do this and for that I am extremely grateful to you.
I sometimes still do have anxiety issues, but that is something I have to live with now, but at least the episodes are few and far between and bearable. Learning to let go of the past, to enjoy the present and look forward to the future are my goals these days, and so far it is working.”
