The Venue - Moggerhanger Park, Bedfordshire
This Grade 1 listed building is set in 33 acres of park making a stunning setting for these 2 brand new events. Located 50 miles north of London 5 minutes from the A1, 20 minutes from the M1. Nearest station is Sandy, but depending where you are coming from Bedford might work better - just a little bit longer in a cab.
The house was built by the architect John Soane, (if the name is familiar it's because he also designed 10 Downing Street) It is recognised as the most complete surviving example of Soane's work set in stylish grounds and woodlands sculpted by Humphry Repton. The Eating Room is an exact replica of the Cabinet Office at Number 10!
The rooms we'll be in have huge windows giving wonderful views of the park and the coutryside of Bedfordshire beyond.
You can stay here from £90 a night B&B (single occupancy)- they have twin rooms if you want to share - an extra £10 over the single rate to cover your breakfast. If you're not driving this makes life simple as the joy of all the countryside does mean it is too far to walk from alternative hotels.
